So, anyone who knows me knows I'm a gadget geek. I've had a Blackberry for 9 years, yep I started out with one of their pagers.

Long story short, I've been wanting a iPhone since they came out. I even bought two during October just so my daughter could try them out. They rock but to me, the BB still kills it in texting and staying connected. The ATT calling plans stink pretty bad too. It was going to cost right at $200 bucks a month for two iPhones sharing 750 mins. Not such a great value.

So, we decided to stay with Sprint. Our plan for two BB's sharing 1,500 minutes is 129.99. The minutes only count for landline phones. Calls to all cellphones are free so, IMO, it is basically an unlimited plan.

The iPhone itch got me again while shopping the other day so I stopped in ATT and noticed they have added a new plan feature called "A List". It is basically like the "My Circle" and that makes it a lot more appealing to me. So, I found myself back on the phone with Sprint asking "How much is the early termination fee?". It's $200 per line BTW. So, I said "Thanks" and hung up.

About 20 minutes later, I received a call from a very concerned operator from Sprint. "Sir, this is Karen in accounts retention. I was informed that we are in danger of losing you as a valued customer." I told her that I was just shopping and she suggested that we "take a look at my account".

By the end of the conversation, she had given me a $20 credit on my account and an additional 15% monthly discount because of my employer. That makes my monthly bill for two BB's approximately $93 bucks a month + tax.

Not too bad!

I suggest you all call your carrier and ask of they can work with ya. They all give certain employee discounts as well.

Sorry for getting long winded :)
