Grayton Beach!
Besides my very loud dog, I'm going to get a security system in our new house. My question is...who? I've gotten prices of "free" to several thousand $$. What is the good, bad and ugly you have experienced on this?? I'm more conerned with child safety (pool, teenagers:bang:, etc.) than a break in, although that is important.:dunno::dunno::dunno:

GSC is a good local company to go with, I've had good experience's with them on install and as a homewatch, concierge on the house(s) New houses tend to do better than old ones that have doors or windows that can set alarms off randomly but it's a nice feature when your away. door alarms for the pool are a pain but you will know when that door is opened for sure!

My good friend Justin Lyons is a local rep for Platinum Protection which specializes in home security systems. They offer amazingly cheap plans but at the same time you get solid honest service. Give him a call at 850.362.9667.
Tell him MC Cassie referred you!! -Matt

My experience with several national companies, is that you better run a test about once per quarter to insure they are doing their job. My experience is that many of the companies will subcontract the call center work to third parties, who aren't worth a dime, and don't respond to alarms in a timely manner, and sometimes, not at all!!! Alarming, I know.

my husband actually does that!

you will love it, its like having a computer, once you do, you dont know what you did before you had it. this is what my husband does, he is a small co. which is much cheaper! and he usually puts about 4 cameras on the exterior of peoples houses. you can also watch it from work (you just need an internet connection) so if you have teenagers and are away, you can actually see them coming home etc. very cool! and it records 24 hours! so any vandalism you can rewind and see them! he does small businesses too. most people pay monthly and its about $100 a month for 3 years, then you own it for $1. otherwise its about $2500. carolyn
