The South Walton Fire District is proud to participate as a mentor in the upcoming HERricane Florida Landfall Program sponsored by Walton County Emergency Management.
HERricane Florida is an exciting initiative that will highlight and empower women in the emergency services field, as well as contribute to the promotion and professionalization of Emergency Management or other Public Safety fields as a career.
The overall mission is to develop and elevate women as leaders in their community while demonstrating emergency management as a positive force for public safety and government.
The girls will be mentored by female leaders from SWFD, Emergency Management, Public Safety professionals and other female community professionals.
Participants will be introduced to and learn:
• Disaster Skills
• Leadership/Leadership Skills
• Networking
• Career Exploration
• Professionalism
• Self Confidence Building

A parent/guardian orientation will take place prior to the beginning of camp and you will receive additional information via email.
