It's THE Fall Event in Seaside--especially if you have four, short legs, but two-legged fans are welcome too! This year the Halloweener Derby Day will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 9am - 1pm. Part of the proceeds this year will go to the Kind Heart Kennel at Shelter House of NWFL.

Musician, Singer, Songwriter Chris Alvarado will perform this year on the Seaside Amphitheater after the All-Breed pet costume contest!

HALLOWEENER HERO CONTEST
If your dachshund is ‘speed challenged’, there’s an additional chance to bring home a trophy! This year, the Halloweener Derby is adding another opportunity to be a champion - the Kind Heart Kennel Halloweener Hero.
What is the Halloweener Hero?
In addition to being the fastest or best dressed Halloweener, your pup can be a champion by raising the most money for the Kind Heart Kennel at the Shelter House of Northwest Florida.
How can my dog participate in the Halloweener Hero contest?
It's easy! Simply have donations made in your dog's name to the Kind Heart Kennel at the Shelter House of Northwest Florida.
How can donors contribute?
1. Use the PAYPAL Donate link on "Pay Online" page
2. Mail a check or money order to: The Seaside Style, ATTN: Halloweener Derby, 178 Market Street, Santa Rose Beach, FL 32459
3. Drop by the Seaside Store in downtown Seaside to make a donation.
** Don't forget to identify the name of the dog with the donation to receive credit **
** Donations should be sent from now until the deadline: Thursday, October 24th ( at 5 PM )
** Increase your doggie's support by posting a picture and short bio on the Halloweener Facebook page, or email a picture and a bio to: info@halloweener.org.
The Kind Heart Kennel is an on-site facility at Shelter House of Northwest Florida, a non-profit center serving domestic and sexual violence victims and survivors in Walton and Okaloosa counties.
Studies show that nearly 50 percent of women in abusive relationships stay because they have no place to go with their pets, and 68 percent of battered women report violence toward their pets. The Kind Heart Kennel removes that barrier and ensures that no woman in our community has to choose between her safety and the safety of a beloved pet.
