Rescued sea lion pup recently found his home at Gulf World Marine Park in Panama City Beach. We can't wait to meet him! The pup was stranded due to the California sea lion Unusual Mortality Event (UME) and was left malnourished and underdeveloped... This male pup, was temporarily housed at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA until Gulf World Marine Park was chosen as his new home. Zoological Director of GWMP, Secret Holmes, traveled to Vallejo to pick up the pup, where they were both flown back via Fed Ex. He is currently under a routine quarantine at Gulf World Marine Park until he is medically cleared to be moved to the park population.
TOMORROW Gulf World Marine Institute will release a fully rehabilitated loggerhead sea turtle back into the Gulf of Mexico - at 4th Street in Sunnyside Beach (PCB) - the public is invited. Wednesday, June 24, 10:30am.

At the time of the stranding, the turtle was found emaciated and lethargic, but after a few months of rehabilitation at Gulf World Marine Institute this loggerhead is now medically cleared to be released back into the Gulf.Gulf World Marine Institute would like to invite the public to view this sea turtle being released back to the Gulf of Mexico.
