I am currently taking on new students for 6-string electric and acoustic guitar lessons. I am a rock and roll guitarist with 40+ years of playing experience and 20+ years of guitar teaching experience.
The courses will be a minimum of theory (although some is necessary) by learning modern songs, rhythmic techniques, alternate fingering positions, changing chords with ease, and guitar set-up and maintenance, among other things.
Beginning course students need not bring any amplification equipment as I have two complete setups that are capable of getting a wide variety of tones and textures.
Intermediate courses will involve amplification techniques and effects training, so you may be required to bring some of your own gear that you want to learn more about.
My students tell me what fun they have when they learn from me. I think learning guitar should be fun. For younger students, I require a parent to be present.
