Grayton Beach State Park Events in November [with one event at Deer Lake State Park Nov 14]
Wednesday November 13 th at 1:00 p.m. join the Ranger Evan for a fishing demonstration; learn about common baits, rigs, and tackle for use in local waters. Learn to identify common species found along the waters of Grayton Beach State Park. The program will be held at the small pavilion on the northeast corner of the beach parking area facing the lake.

Thursday November 14th at 9:00 a.m. join our Park Services Specialist for The Dunes are Alive walk at Deer Lake State Park. Learn about the flora and fauna found in the sand dunes. Participants will meet at the Deer Lake State Park parking area. Appropriate clothing, closed toe shoe, drinking water is required. Insect repellant, sun screen, and hat is suggested. This walk will take approximately 1 hour.

Wednesday November 20th at 1:00 p.m. Join the Ranger Rooster for a Cast Net Fishing demonstration. Experience how to properly throw a cast net and learn what fish can be caught using the cast net. Participants will meet at the boat ramp parking area.

Wednesday November 27th at 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Canoe Tour of Western Lake Channel and Outfall. Our Park Services Specialist will lead you on an exciting trip on Western Lake discussing the importance and rarity of coastal dune lakes and what animal/birds call the lakes home. Please sign-up at the ranger station prior to the day of the event. Event is open to the first 9 guest to sign-up at the ranger station. Participants that sign-up should meet at the boat ramp parking/canoe launch area. This tour will take 1—2 hours. Sunscreen and drinking water are suggest items to bring.
