I have refused to post anything on the Visioning Group page for fear that my views/comments would be removed if not shared by the moderators but have decided this needs to be said.
At the last BCC meeting Cecilia Jones asked for a motion to look for grant monies to improve Wee Care Park (which is where her office is located) and the park in Darlington. Both parks are aesthetically pleasing and well maintained as is and in my opinion, this is nothing more than C. Jones looking to improve her own backyard. During that meeting C. Jones also took Cindy Meadows to task for not offering a portion of the $700.000. in plat fees sitting in the bank in Meadows District.
In Meadows defense, if C. Jones had called anyone else the names she has called Meadows and acted as she has towards her, I wouldn't offer her a dime either.
Bottom line is...Tony Anderson takes office (probably before the ink is even dry on the Grant application) and the constituents in Meadows District need to keep and eye on where those plat fees go. My guess is, Tony Anderson is going to hand over a huge chunk of them to C. Jones.
Andrew Campanella also took Cindy Meadows to task for her actions on the Visioning Group page while singing praises to C. Jones efforts to look for these grants. Shame on Mr. Campanella for his actions too! Both are acting like immature children and both need to sit down, be quiet and stop acting like brats! This is ridiculous, you're adults folks!
