Google has excellent tutorials on their site and often on youtube.

If you don't have a google account, you will need to register (free). Start by going to Google and click on "Business Solutions." Then a new page will appear. Click on "local business center." From here, you should be able to register your business and put it on the map. Look for the video tutorials to help you along should you get stuck.
