Noticed that several doctors in the area are practicing Functional Medicine (Chavers and Hinckley in SRB and Myra Reed in PCB, possibly others). Wondered if anyone had experience with this type of health care and, if so, what had been their results.

It is another type of medical quackery, a millennia old tradition that is apparently not going away anytime soon. I am a physician, and unfortunately have a number of colleagues who practice this, or incorporate other forms of “alternative” medicine that have no basis in science.
