For Indepence Day this year, I understand that in addition to the crazy fireworks shot by crazy people on Grayton Beach, this year we will have a view of a professional show, courtesy of the folks in Seaside. They are scheduled to have a show from the water.

Being an experienced boater, I'm having a little trouble with this one . Hope the seas are calm that night. But then again the show will be at Seaside and they have that cool weather machine... So I guess everything will be ok

The show begins at 8:30pm, weather permitting. If seas are greater than four feet, the only show will be from the many crazy folks on the Beach. Remember the parade from Seagrove to Seaside begins at 9:00am.

If my memory is accurate, we had hard rains the morning of Indepence Day for the past two years. Keep your fingers crossed. It will be really cool if we can see the show from Grayton.

Did I mention that you can reserve VIP seats in the Seaside amphitheatre?

hi SJ....HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. WILL THERE BE ANYTHING GOING ON THE FRIDAY OR SATURDAY OF 4TH OF JULY WEELEND? lAST YEAR ON SATURDAY A PARADE WENT DOWN 30A ABOUT 8AM.....WE ALL LOVED IT. WILL WE CATCH ANYTHING THIS YEAR? THE FOURTH IS MONDAY BUT WE WILL BE LEAVING ON SUNDAY MORNING. THANKS FOR THE INFO

I have not seen anything scheduled as of yet, but I believe Seaside has a band in the amphitheatre on Saturdays in the Summer. Gulf Place has a band performing on the lawn on Sundays, just to name a couple of things. You can contact the Downtown Seaside Association at 850-231-5424 to get more info. It is certain to be a busy weekend, so I am sure you will find much to do.

What Seaside did not like our show last year?? :laughing1 Maybe they should hire us. We had a crowd. Neighbors and I spent over $1000. We enjoyed it and it was fun to watch how much the kids enjoyed it. Seaside security ask us not to do it again this year. Now we know why.
