Festival of Trees
Kick off Tuesday November 22
5pm
Music performed by Pro Arte Chorale
Come out and enjoy more than a dozen beautifully decorated Christmas trees on public display as area non-profit organizations vie to win cash prizes for Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. “Festival of Trees” is a Christmas tree decorating contest taking place at Grand Park during which the public can vote for their favorite decorated tree.
Here is this year's exceptional line-up of participating organizations: American Cancer Society, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Seaside Neighborhood School, Children’s Volunteer Health Network, South Walton Montessori Academy, Shelter House, Children in Crisis, Nancy Veldman Ministries, Okaloosa AIDS Support and Information Services, Alaqua Animal Refuge, Hope Medical Center and Guardian Ad Litem.
The public is invited to attend the free kick-off on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. as all of the trees are “turned on” while Christmas music is performed by Pro Arte Chorale. The trees remain on display day and night and the public can vote once a day for their favorite tree at the Visitor Services Kiosk located at Grand Park. On Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m., the contest winners will be announced in Grand Park while Pro Arte Chorale performs and hot chocolate and cookies are served. The public is invited to attend these free events.
The trees will remain on display through Christmas at Grand Park in Grand Boulevard.
