No, but I had a roommate in college who was a fiddle prodigy. She grew up under the influence of Mark O'Connor, and when he moved to Nashville she took us to his house for some kind of shindig with a bunch of fiddle-players.
I wish I had a picture of some of the fiddles I saw that night--I just googled in hopes of finding some. One belonged to the guy that wrote "Gentle On My Mind," and those words were carved into the fiddle. It was a very intricately carved fiddle, a perfect gift for the fiddle player who has everything and happened to write a popular song, I suppose...
