No, but I had a roommate in college who was a fiddle prodigy. She grew up under the influence of Mark O'Connor, and when he moved to Nashville she took us to his house for some kind of shindig with a bunch of fiddle-players.
I wish I had a picture of some of the fiddles I saw that night--I just googled in hopes of finding some. One belonged to the guy that wrote "Gentle On My Mind," and those words were carved into the fiddle. It was a very intricately carved fiddle, a perfect gift for the fiddle player who has everything and happened to write a popular song, I suppose...

Actually, John Hartford. Campbell was the most famous/popular of the people who sang it.
you're right, my bad. I think Hartford is the most popular person to sing it. So it was his fiddle?

Yep--that was his fiddle, and I got to hear him play it with Mark O'Connor in Mark's living room! Oh, to be a dumb kid again--this time I would bring a camera...
hmm...I dunno guys. They kind of creep me out a bit. I mean, kudos for originality and the sculpture, but imho...it's a bit too distracting and...dare I say...leprous? :shock:
