DSL in Old Point Washington / 395 North

I heard the other day that Embarq laid fiber up 395 to Bay School which should mean they will be able to provide DSL to that area of Old Point Washington which has had neither DSL nor cable.

I post this in case some folks up there want to check it out. post info here if you know or find out anything.

I talked to the people installing the DSL when they were close to the 395 entrance to East Point Washington Road, and they didn't know how far up 395 they were taking it. It seems to me that was 3 or 4 weeks ago. I figured they were serving the "Audubon Point" development. It sure would be nice to have bona fide high speed. My Point Washington phone service downloads at an impossible 24K bps, and Dishnet has a lot of blips in its service.

You mean the one and only house in Audubon Point? :funn: I do like what they did with the landscaping around the retention pond next to that house, and love the open deck. That sub-division has some good potential to be a nice place to live.

Any word on when we will get a broadband connection in the apple/fig/carlos court area? i'm sick of using my cell phone to connect to the intraweb

thats a big negative, i've been on the phone with the phone and cable companies for years, its getting a little old...
