Barbara Fudge Drawing Workshops
Fudge?s August 2nd advanced drawing workshop will have an emphasis on scenic drawing and will include the method to compare relationships in the drawing in order to establish correct spacing. It will also include advanced shading techniques. This workshop is appropriate for artists with minimal drawing experience. The August 23rd perspective drawing workshop will stress the necessity of establishing an eye-level line or a horizon line as the first thing necessary in any drawing. It will include both 2-point and 1-point perspective, which is very interesting and often not understood. The workshop will incorporate how to size receding objects such as fence posts, trees and people correctly. This class is appropriate for all artists with some experience in drawing.

The author of several art books, Fudge studied at the Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio and worked as a commercial artist, illustrator and portrait artist prior to moving to Florida. During the past 32 years, she has taught classes in drawing, perspective, acrylics, oils and other media. In 2007, she was featured local artist in Emerald Coast magazine.

Since moving to Florida 24 years ago, she has taught art in the Okaloosa schools and at her own studio, Hobbycraft Harbour, in addition to the Arts and Design Society in Fort Walton Beach and for various Galleries, Art clubs and societies.

Sharon Long Watercolor Workshops
During Long?s watercolor painting workshops on August 6th and 13th, techniques for painting in watercolor will be emphasized with each participant practicing these techniques. All materials will be furnished with each person individually selecting and starting a watercolor painting from the provided materials during the workshop. This workshop is appropriate for artists at all levels.

Sharon Long began her forty year career as an Artist in Kansas City, Kansas as an instructor in Oil Painting and then moved to Washington State, continuing her painting and instruction of Oil and Watercolor. For the last twenty years she has devoted her career to Watercolor Painting and instruction exclusively, moving to Destin, Florida where she and Robert Long opened their studio and Gallery. Sharon has travels five months out of each year across the United States and Canada conducting twenty or more workshops and mentoring many artists. The rest of the year she continues teaching in the area.
