"Dos de Mayo" Party to Benefit Children's Volunteer Health Network
Auction Items Include Dream Vacation in St. Barths
Alys Beach, Florida - (April 7, 2009) - Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) will host a lively "Dos de Mayo" fundraiser party in Alys Beach on Saturday, May 2nd. CVHN is a local faith-based non-profit organization that provides free medical care, dental and mental health care for uninsured and underinsured children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
"We're so grateful for all of our friends who understand the importance of this work," said Kate Johnson, CVHN's Director. "The Dos de Mayo party is a really fun way for us to celebrate our efforts, while helping those young people who are in such desperate need."
The event will be held on May 2nd from 6pm until 10pm at "Caliza," Alys Beach's extraordinary restaurant and resort pool. The party will feature music and dancing with DJ Sabor, authentic Latin dance performances, and Latin-inspired hor?dourves provided by generous local restaurants, including Bud & Alley?s Taco Bar, Caliza Restaurant, Fatty Patty?s, George?s at Alys Beach, Jo Jo?s Catering, La Botana, Pizza by the Sea and Shades at the Loop.
A raffle at the party will feature prizes donated by local businesses and private supporters, and a brief auction will be held for several exceptional items, including a one-week vacation in a 5-bedroom luxury home in St. Barths. Perched on the hillside in the very exclusive Domaine du Soleil Couchant, the stunning home overlooks Gustavia's Caribbean waters and is within easy walking distance to restaurants, boutiques and the famous Shell Beach.
