If ghosts, goblins, and things that go bump in the night don't scare you half as much as public speaking, then join a bunch of adventurers who are sharing their courage to speak and learning more in the process.
Toastmasters can help calm your fears of public speaking, or help fearless speakers hone their abilities in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Come to an "Open Mike" from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, and let the members show you how to banish your fears.
Join Toastmasters from Niceville, Eglin, DeFuniak Springs, Crestview, Hurlburt, Fort Walton Beach and Destin for this special event.
In just one fun-filled night, you’ll meet friendly members and hear exciting speeches. You may even decide you want to join. In addition, there'll be door prizes and the fun is free.
Plan to be at Cafe Bienville, 314 Bayshore Drive in Niceville, 850-678-2233, for a Fright Night that may help you be less frightened. Dinner is Dutch Treat. Costumes are welcome, but not required. For more information, call Dianna Van Horn at (850) 834-2378.
