Has anyone had any luck getting rid of cable and using an indoor digital TV antenna? How many channels are you able to receive? We are located in Seagrove Beach. We do not rent our home and our only their sporadically therefore we would prefer not to pay for cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

We live in Seagrove and have an outdoor antenna and internet (netflix & amazon prime). On Antenna we get all the major channels ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, & PBS. See http://www.antennaweb.org/ for more info.

We have not tried an indoor antenna as we have a concrete home so reception inside is not so good...like for cell phones.

Internet is DSL from Centurylink, $39.95 per month new customer special. we have been happy.

NJ/Inlet Beach
4th Floor condo on the beach in Seagrove Beach we can receive NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS and FOX HD channels OTA with an indoor antenna.

Cheap antenna to buy and test. Then if you have reception problems, you can opt for just basic cable with local channels. If your TV tunes QAM channels you would not even need a cable box. And you can add 9.99 per month for Mediacom internet for a year. It is much faster than DSL and has been reliable. I believe it is 39.99 per month after the year's introductory rate, but am not sure.
