DIGITAL GRAFFITI FESTIVAL news
And with that, the 17th Annual Digital Graffiti Festival comes to a close! A heartfelt thank you goes out to our remarkable festival curator & technologist, events team, production crew, gifted artists, Alys Beach Culinary and F&B vendors, devoted volunteers, generous sponsors, and enthusiastic attendees who contributed to the phenomenal success of this event. We deeply value the passion, dedication, ingenuity, and tireless effort that make this event truly exceptional! This year, we were delighted to unveil two exciting new endeavors: DG+E and DGTV.
DG+E (Digital Graffiti + Education) offered a series of educational panels designed to take you behind the scenes of the festival. These panels provided a deep dive into the creative and technical processes, as well as how the architecture and landscape interface with the projected artworks. Participants had the unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and seasoned artists, gaining valuable knowledge about projection mapping, digital art techniques, event production, and much more. Our educational panels are part of our commitment to fostering learning and inspiration within our community, ensuring that the magic of Digital Graffiti extends beyond the festival itself.
DGTV is our newest platform delivering interviews and exclusive event coverage in effort to bring our community closer, offering valuable insights and promoting engagement through a dynamic viewing experience.
We hope you found these additions to our festival to be enriching. It’s truly a collective effort, and each year brings new heights of achievement. Thanks to your unwavering support and enthusiasm, this year marked another milestone success. Once again, we extend our sincerest thanks to all involved. We can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together next year!
The 17th annual international projection art festival in Alys Beach, FL
The Alys Foundation is happy to announce the winners of the 17th Annual Digital Graffiti Festival, which took place this past May 16-18, 2024 in Alys Beach, located along the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida. Digital Graffiti is one of the world's largest projection art shows, made distinctive in its use of the white stuccoed masonry architecture of Alys Beach as a surprisingly dynamic canvas for art, technology, and creative innovation. The intricate detailing of the town's architecture offers variation in roofline and elevation, from the intricate patterns of shutters, breeze blocks and openings for ventilation to the bold lines of grand stairways, towers, verandas, fountains, and other functional design elements. These expressions of both aesthetic design and functionality create a play between the architectural canvas and the projected artworks, which include the latest in design, animation, projection mapping, generative art, experimental short films, and light-, sound-, and motion-responsive installations.
