Let the Good Times Roll at Krewe de Yak’s Annual Mardi Gras Parade and Festival on Saturday, February 9th! Taking place on Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs beginning at 11:00am, GrasFest will once again be the “place to be” for food, fun, and family-friendly entertainment
Celebrating the Carnival season; this year’s events include a Street Fair, Car Show, Parade and After Party.
This year organizers are expecting the most participation in the events history, from numerous visiting Mardi Gras krewes from around the panhandle. Krewes include host krewe, the DeFuniak Springs Krewe de Yak; the Panama City Krewe of St Andrews; the Panama City Krewe of Buccaneers; the Fort Walton Beach Krewe of Bowlegs and the Kittyhawk of Krewe of Billy Bowlegs; the DeFuniak Springs Krewe of Patriots, and the Navarre Krewe of Jesters.
These parading Krewes along with numerous local and regional organizations will be throwing beads, trinkets, coins, candy and much more in their route around Lake Defuniak during the annual parade. All Krewes will gather at the after party beginning at 4:30 pm at 4Cs BBQ in Defuniak Springs.

The Krewe consists of members from all walks of life who come together as a fun-loving carnival society that promotes and funds charitable works within the County on a year-round basis.
