Stopped in at Silver Sands on Saturday since the spouse was with me and she wanted to look around. If you guys need to buy for upcoming school, there was some deals to be had and appear to be going on until at least next week. I was very surprised as past experience at those stores left me thinking how expensive they were. Not busy in the late morning, but by 2 PM the crowds seemed to make their way off the beaches from the looks of the shoppers. I know it is tough for a lot of families right now, but if you can afford it, you should take a look.

thanks robert! haven't been to the outlet for many moons. will get over there soon! there are times when you can get good deals, if you can find what you are looking for.

The stores we were in were Eddie Bauer, Haggar, Van Heusen, Big Dog, and Bass from what I remember. I hate shopping, so I tend to go in quick, get stuff and get out. Most were 10-20% off plus another 40% off.

That cluster of stores tends to run sales pretty frequently.

The best times for deep discounts there are in fall/winter when tourist traffic is light. Bonus if you get a store closing sale right around Christmas/New Year. We got a couple of Polo king-sized 300 thread count comforter covers for $17 last winter when the West Point-Stevens store was closing up shop, and some cool china from Mikasa for $12/place setting when they were phasing out their outlet stores.
