I bought something a few months ago online and it was a trial period or auto ship thing, which I never do, so I cancelled during the trial period.
A few days later, I absent-mindedly left my card in the ATM, which is forever confiscated by the banks now, so they ordered a new one for me. Since then, I have received about a dozen phone calls from someone wanting to sell me some kind of membership and I receive a free $200 gas card to sign up, but am unclear as to the membership.
They get you on the phone and ramble then say, "Can I run your card now?" "Which card to you have?" And, it's the old one!
Be careful whose websites you're buying from these days!! Most people don't lose their card right after some stupid shopping like I do - I was lucky.
