Treat your Valentine to a symphonic and theatrical explosion of Tchaikovsky's "Symphony no. 4 in F minor, Op. 36" with the assistance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's "Beyond the Score: Classical Music Exposed" series. The first half of the performance will be a multimedia presentation that features the orchestra and includes narration by Seaside Rep's Craige Hoover, journalist Bruce Collier, and dancers from The Ballet Conservatory with several members of the Pro-Arte Chorale exploring the life and times of P.I. Tchaikovsky.

The second half is the full performance of this magnificent orchestral showpiece. Think of it as the classical version of "E! True Hollywood Story." "Beyond the Score Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4", "Beyond the Score? is produced by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra", "Gerard McBurney, Creative Director, Beyond the Score?" "Martha Gilmer, Executive Producer, Beyond the Score".

Demetrius and I went to Chicago in September to to see/hear the CSO perform the Beyond the Score: Pictures at an Exhibition concert, it was amazing in every way. The Beyond the Score concept is a wonderful way to learn about and experience the piece, the composer and the context in which it was written, incorporating multimedia, actors, musicians and a narrator. We are very lucky to be able to bring this program down here, there are very very few places in the world that are able to do so. I highly recommend tomorrow night's concert, you won't want to miss it!
