City of FWB Offering Roof and Painting Assistance

Fort Walton Beach residents may be eligible to receive assistance from the city for roofing and exterior painting projects. Homeowners whose primary residence is within the city limits, single story, and in need of a new roof or exterior paint are eligible if their income does not exceed the following limits:

1-person household - $35,050
2-person household - $40,100
3-person household - $45,100
4-person household - $50,100
5-person household - $54,100
6-person household - $58,100

I wonder how those figures were determined as the cut-offs for assistance.

Usual determination is X times the federal poverty level, or Y percent of the median family income for an area, with a small modifier for seniors and the disabled.

If it's a grant-funded program (And it probably is.) then the criteria is usually set forth among the conditions of the grant.
