Christ the King Episcopal Church is coordinating a "Stop Hunger Now" food drive for Haiti- specifically for the school children in need of good food. They are desperately in need of 60 more volunteers this Saturday, Nov. 9th to pull this off.
Volunteer to help assemble bags of food this Saturday that will feed 240,000 Haitian People! Christ The King Episcopal Church, Santa Rosa Beach, FL desperately needs 60 more volunteers- adults, seniors, kids- on Saturday, Nov. 9th from 1pm-4pm to help fill bags of food and load the truck for Stop Hunger Now. DETAILS:
The process of making the one meal for a needy Haitian family requires many hands. Volunteers insert a funnel into a gallon ziplock bag tofill with dehydrated soy, rice, flavorings, spices, vitamins and vegetables. Instructions for preparation are included on the bag. One bag feeds six people. A total of 40,000 bags will be prepared by community volunteers and a grand total of 240,000 people will be fed that otherwise might go hungry.
