Hey everyone! I'm comming out of the closet. I've been a lurker for a few months now, but I need some help so i'm forced to become one of the sowal.com members. Yeah! It only took me 15 min. to figure out how to post and I still dont know if i'm doing it right.
Me, my husband and our 5 yr.old son will hopefully be moving to the area end of March or beginning of April. Jobs of course playing a huge roll in that. I will need childcare for him(my son not my husband) till June 16th,that's when the school summer program starts. My husband is a firefighter so he works 24hrs. on and 48 off. So when he is not working he can watch him. Childcare is harder to find in Sowal than I thought. Just open a daycare and your rolling in the money. Where we live now there is a daycare on every corner. Anyway....
Can somebody please help! Everything else has worked out for the good in this move except this. :bang:

Thanks so much! We are very excited about the move. God has laid everything in our laps, except this. I've talked to alot of daycare centers, someone from the elementary school and a few parents. Dead Ends! I'm getting very nervous.
Can you tell me more about the boys and girls program?

I will need daytime while my husband and I work. He will be doing shiftwork at the firehouse and he is there for 24 hrs.,8a.m. till 8a.m. the next day. 24hrs on 48 hrs off. So the days will change weekly because he works every 3rd day. The problem is also that I need to leave for work before he gets home from his shift and if he has a call that he's tied up on it could be a bit longer before he get's home. It's a little confusing, I know.
Let me know if you can help.
We will be in the area next weekend trying to find a long term rental to live. So it will be more set in stone when we know where we will be living and what hours and where we will be working.
How old are you and what are do you live?
Thanks,
April

You could try Beverly Nichols. Most of her kids are 3-5 y/o. She is a terrific woman and does lots of fun stuff with the kids. My son went there for a short time while his permenant sitter was out of town. Her # is 622-0022 she is licensed and registered in the State of Florida.

One word of advice Make sure your son is going to someone who is at least registered in the State of Florida. By them being licensed and registered they are visited randomly by the director of child services to make sure everything is up to par.

Good Luck!
