Celebration Hall, the newest event venue in South Walton on Scenic Hwy 30A, will host the 4th Annual Blind Wine event - A unique Blind Wine Tasting Competition presented by the Young Professionals at The Beach (YP@TB) organization. Blind Wine, one of the organization’s signature events, will take place on Nov. 14, 2013 from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.
With the tag line, “Your Guess is as Good as Mine,” Blind Wine is a fun, mysterious, exciting blind tasting that members of the community look forward to each year. The cost is $25.00 per person plus 3 bottles of identical RED wine per team.
How it Works: Teams may consist of 1-3 people. Each team brings 3 bottles of the exact same red wine (ex: Three bottles of 2006 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.) The first two bottles are collected, disguised, and set out for tasting and voting. Then, the competition begins as each as attendee votes on their personal favorite in this "blind wine" contest.
Each team's third bottle is set aside unopened to later be awarded as the Grand Prize to the team with the crowd’s favorite wine. So select your entry carefully; you could go home with 30+ bottles of unopened wine!
Check in begins at 6:30 p.m. and will wines must be checked in by 7:00 p.m. From 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. the blind tasting and voting takes place. Votes are counted at 8:30 p.m., and the winners are announced at 9:00 p.m.
Each person must have ticket and team with 3 bottles of matching red wine to enter event. Admission includes complimentary light hors d’oeuvres and beer. For tickets and full event rules, visit YPatTheBeach.com or visit the YP@TB Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/YPatTheBeach.
