Events by Nouveau Flowers will transform the gulf side club into a Las Vegas-inspired casino where attendees will have the opportunity to “gamble” for charity at custom LED lit gaming tables featuring craps, roulette, Texas hold'em and blackjack. Casino Night will also include live entertainment by DJ B Boy Productions, gourmet cuisine, a silent auction and a wine toss with all funds raised going directly to 1NDOTO, Inc.
Founded by longtime local resident Shay Bell, 1NDOTO Inc. supports educational opportunities, entrepreneurship and trade skills to women, orphans and vulnerable children in Kilimanjaro. Bell traveled to Africa last January to spend a month on a cultural exchange program, and 1NDOTO is the fruition of her dream to offer opportunities previously not available to the people of the region she visited. Named after the Swahili word for dream, the mission of 1NDOTO is to assist in educating people to provide them with the necessary skills to meet their needs and the confidence to pursue their own dreams. The long term vision of the organization is to extend its reach to offer support for global projects through fundraising and various entrepreneurship ventures that assist in a sustainable future for those in need.
At Casino Night, guests will be able to redeem their gaming chips for an opportunity to win a wide range of prizes. Additional games will be available such as the wine toss where contestants are given the chance to win their favorite bottle of wine. The gourmet menu will be selected and prepared by Chef Bryan Ross of the WaterSound Beach Club. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase and at the signature cocktail ice luge for donation.
Funds raised from the evening’s festivities will be allocated to the construction of a boy’s dormitory, library addition and dining hall at the Valley View Boarding School in Moshi Tanzania. Bell will be returning to Kilimanjaro in January 2012 to oversee the completion of these projects. 1NDOTO is currently accepting donations for both the silent auction and the opportunity drawing at Casino Night at the WaterSound Beach Club. Gift in Kind receipts are available for all donations.
