Planes, Exhibits and Live Entertainment Expected to Attract Thousands
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. – Event organizers have finalized plans for the 10th annual Marvel of Flight Fly-In and Expo scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the DeFuniak Springs Airport, 8:30 am- 5:00 pm. The event features a large display of vintage and unique aircraft, exhibits, skydiving demonstrations, car show, live entertainment, educational presentations and food and merchandise vendors. Adults 16 & up $2.00 plus 1 can of unexpired food. Military, military veterans, and first responders admitted free with 1 can of food. Children 15 and under free with one can of unexpired food.
"I am very excited about this Marvel of Flight event,” says Airport Director Mathew Overton. “Hundreds of families and thousands of young people learn about the marvel of flight through our unique aircraft exhibits and demonstrations,” he says, “and it’s so gratifying to see our community come together for such a worthwhile weekend activity relating to flight.”
Event Coordinator Kristie Seigler adds "our mission for this event is to introduce the many opportunities of aviation, and to educate and expand the possibilities to the next generation of aerospace professionals. We also want to introduce pilots and visitors to the services that are available to them at the DeFuniak Springs Airport and in our wonderful community. This is an amazing event for all who are interested and excited about aviation and its future. Come out and enjoy a great family-friendly environment and aviation experience.”
Free parking located at Gene Hurley Park, 965 Gene Hurley Road, DeFuniak Springs, 32435. All guests will be shuttled to the event in wheelchair accessible vans and buses beginning at 8:30 am. The event site is mostly paved and exhibits on grassy areas are located on mostly flat, hard ground. Restrooms available at parking and throughout the event site.
