The Friends of Eden Gardens are hosting the annual Camellia Festival on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington. Floral demonstrations and presentations will be held throughout the day, and live music will be provided by local bluegrass band Dismal Creek (live music from noon til 2pm)!
Visitors are invited to stroll through beautiful camellias in full bloom in gardens throughout the park. Camellias, air layered from Eden Gardens plants, will be available for purchase from the nursery. Come spend time in the gardens with your family and friends for the annual Eden Gardens State Park Camellia Festival.
The Camellia Festival will include demonstrations on camellia floral arrangement, air layering, (a camellia propagating technique), and camellia waxing for bloom preservation. Attend a program on camellia care and other plant related topics by Marie Harrison, a Master Gardener and author.
