Friends of Eden Gardens State Park announce the annual Camellia Festival:

Please join us for the Annual Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Saturday February 15th from 10am-2pm.

This wonderful event, centered around the blooming of the Camellias, is a time to celebrate the natural beauty and history of the park.

The event, hosted by The Friends of Eden, is free with paid park admission ($4 per car). Additional parking for the event will be at Bay School with tram service to the park.

Summer Kitchen will be at the park selling delicious food & drinks. There will be live music from "The Earth Vibes Band" from 10am-2pm on the bayou stage. It should be a lovely day at the park & we hope to see you there!

update from Friends of Eden Gardens State Park

The Friends of Eden and Florida State Parks pay tribute to the Camellia Saturday, Feb.15th from 10am to 2 pm at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington, North of US 98 via CR-395.

Visitors are invited to stroll through amazing Camellias, enjoy a Camellia floral arrangement demonstration, learn air layering, (a Camellia propagating technique), and Camellia waxing for bloom preservation. Attend a program on Camellia care and other plant related topics by Marie Harrison, a Master Gardener and author of numerous Gardening Books.

Tentative schedule for the day: (held in the Pavilion area)
10:15 am - 11:00 am - Presentation on Camellias by Marie Harrison
11:15 am – 12 noon - Floral Demonstration using Camellias by Tim Ard of Emerald Coast Flowers and Gifts.
12:30 pm - Demonstrations on Air-layering
1:30 pm – Waxing Camellia Blooms
10am to 2 pm - "Earth Vibes Band" will be performing at the Stage area.

Camellias will be available for a donation from the nursery.

Living History re-enactors will also be present on the grounds during the Festival.

Food vendors will be present on the grounds, picnic tables by Tucker Bayou are available for visitors use in the Park.

Additional Parking will be available at Bay Elementary School.

This community event is free with paid admission to the State Park – donations made to the Friends of Eden will be appreciated.
