
Call for Artists For 23rd Annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival in Seaside, Fla
$10,000 in cash prizes to be awarded
Walton County, FL - The Cultural Arts Association of Walton County announces a call for artists for the 23rd annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival happening May 6 - 8, 2011 in Seaside, Florida.
ArtsQuest is a juried show of high quality art that draws thousands of art lovers to the Beaches of South Walton each year. Over 100 national artists will be accepted in the categories of Ceramics, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Oils & Acrylics, Original Digital Art, Photography, Sculpture, Wood, and Works on Paper (Watercolor, Printmaking, Pencils, Ink).
Cash awards totaling $10,000 will be given to 27 exhibiting artists, including an award for Best Booth, ten Awards of Merit, twelve Best of Category, three Awards of Excellence and one Best in Show.
Along with cash awards, the 2011 ArtsQuest poster image will be chosen from among the images submitted by juried artists. The poster winner will receive a refunded booth fee, along with major publicity.
Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2011 in order to be submitted to the jury and should be accompanied by a $35 jury fee, $260 booth fee and four digital images on CD, including one booth picture. See application for more details.
Award winners from the 2010 ArtsQuest show do not need to submit the $35 jury fee and will be automatically admitted into the 2011 ArtsQuest show should they meet the application deadline. To be considered for the poster contest, award winners still must submit images on CD.
