Business owners watch out

We got a call today from a lovely women saying that the price of the toner we use is going up and that if we order today we can get it for the old price.

The thing is, we have a service contract with the company we are leasing the copier from and toner is included in that contract.

So be on the look out for this scam.

I see this old scam is rearing its ugly head. The scammers usually prey on receptionists. They will ask for the model # of the office copier and tell the receptionist your company is scheduled to get paper, toner, supplies, etc. and could they confirm the address. When the receptionist does, they say thank you get her name and ship you stuff at a huge inflated price. The bill will list the receptionist as the person placing the order. It's a pain to get the stuff sent back.
