Does anyone have recommendations for childrens' birthday cakes, other than Publix?

I went to a birthday party for an adult last year. The cake was excellent. It came from Southern Style Desserts in Destin.

Try Beverly Johnson... She got into making these really awesome Birthday cakes after Brody was born. I have never seen anything like these cakes. I will try to find a pic of one of them.

These cakes were for Some family member birtday . They are funny shapes and I think the themes were like "Alice In Wonderland" They are dropping on purpose.

I love those cakes, Bobby. I never knew Bev was such the baker. There was a girl who worked at the Sandesing Publix bakery (not sure if she still does) who made cakes like these on the side. The first time I saw them, I was like :shock: :clap_1: Here is one of those leaner Alice hat cakes.

I remember talking to her one time on the phone when she said, "All I'm doing today is baking a cake." And now I know why! Those are fabulous.

We're trying at the Rep to begin offering birthday parties for kids, complete with an original performance, lunch, cake, and improv games with the actors. So I'm trying to find a supplier. I don't know how popular this will become, but I have a feeling we wouldn't be able to afford Beverly. However, I will commission one for Rowan's #1!
