MAKE PLANS NOW TO ATTEND THE ?BACK TO SCHOOL BASH?
LOCAL TALENT MAY PARTICIPATE IN ?DEFUNIAK HAS TALENT? COMPETITION
DeFuniak Springs, FL (July 24, 2009) ? Make your plans now to attend the Boys and Girls Club Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 15, 2009; beginning at 10am, at Harbeson Field on Highway 83 North in DeFuniak Springs. The ?Back to School Bash? will provide a full day of fun and entertainment for area youth and their families, as they prepare for the start of another school year, while supporting the DeFuniak Springs Teen Center.
Event activities include arts and crafts booths, concessions, live musical entertainment, static displays, educational booths, face painting, mini-train rides, athletic events, a dunking booth, Air-Jump Play, ?Are You Smarter than a Teenager? game show, and much more. Featured musical guest include ?The Springs?, from Enterprise Alabama who will take the main stage at 7:00pm. The Walton County Health Department has also agreed to open that day to provide back to school immunizations.
Additional entertainment will be provided through the ?DeFuniak Has Talent? competition. Local talent, including any family friendly musical, dance, comedy, vocal etc, may participate in open auditions on Saturday August 8, 2009; from 12-4pm and Tuesday, August 11, 2009; from 5pm-8pm at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center on Highway 83 North.
Selected acts will be scheduled to perform on the Back to School Bash main stage, with the 1st Place winner, performing as the opening act for ?The Springs?.
