The Return
Celebrate the Labor Day weekend with the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation for a Sunday evening performance of The Return, the world's most authentic show band paying tribute to the legendary Beatles. This performance will feature the early cover songs from 1964 to 1967, Sgt. Pepper's and beyond. This "Farewell to Summer Concert" will be held on The Village Green of the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village located at 4323 Commons Drive West, located behind the Destin YMCA and Grace Lutheran Church. Concert parking at Grace Lutheran Church.
The captivating and exciting spirit that came to be known as "Beatlemania" is live in The Return. These four lads have skillfully recreated the Beatles experience by not only performing all the great songs of the original four, but also by sporting the same suits, boots, moptops and stage gear. The Return was chosen as the official tribute group for Liverpool Productions' 20th Anniversary "Magical History Tour" to London and Liverpool, England. One of the main highlights of the tour was performing at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool and an exclusive recording session at Abbey Road Studios Two, the same exact room in which the Beatles recorded the majority of their albums.
Admission is $10 per adult and kids under 12 are free. Bring your favorite lawn chair and picnic or purchase dinner prepared fresh onsite by Carrabba's Italian Grill and desserts by Mark's Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Enter a charity benefit drawing to win fabulous prizes during intermission to support art, music and education. The popular Picnic Supper Club is back for this special engagement. Reserve your VIP tables and seating for $100 for six guests by calling the MKAF office at (850) 650-2226

I'm still a Beatlemaniac. I got so disgusted listening to NPR going on and on about the DEBT, I put in a CD of "Love" and it made me feel good. It always works for me.

Ya know, I'm not sure it's really nostalgia, per se, if you can just insert a piece of music into your life and just be instantly uplifted... Has there ever been a more consistently positive force in our lives than the Beatles? I don't think so...
