ArtWeek South Walton is an initiative of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) with the purpose to bring communities, organizations and businesses together to present quality arts and entertainment to the community. Spanning at least ten days, ArtWeek will feature visual, performing and literary arts programming in diverse formats and in various venues throughout South Walton.
In its first year, Art Week South Walton will include ArtsQuest – a fine arts show in Grand Boulevard, Digital Graffiti – a projection art festival in Alys Beach, Seaside Writers Conference, and Seaside Dance with Joffrey Ballet and Pensacola Ballet performances in Seaside...
ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival | May 7 & 8
Grand Boulevard
The 28th annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival, a Mother’s Day weekend tradition, is scheduled for May 7 & 8, 2016 at Grand Boulevard in South Walton. Over 125 juried fine artists exhibiting in over a dozen mediums will fill Grand Boulevard's Town Center for three days, along with great live music, live art demonstrations, food and beverages, and ImagiNation (where kids rule)!

Seaside Writers Conference | May 14-21
Seaside Academic Village
The 2016 Seaside Writers Conference is slated for May 14-21 at the Seaside Academic Village in Seaside, Florida. The annual gathering of creative writers from all over the nation features award-winning writers in poetry and fiction and screenwriting who will offer a full week of intensive writing workshops, one day seminars, school outreach programs, and social events. Headlining Authors: Andre Dubus III and Elizabeth Stuckey-French.
This event occurs every year in May, and offers the opportunity for beginning, intermediate and advanced writers to celebrate writing, to network with other writers, and to hone their craft. There will also be seminars hosted by professional editors and literary agents who will offer one-on-one consultations. All levels of writers are welcome, and there are workshops scheduled specifically for poets and fiction writers.

Alys Beach opens its doors, courtyards, and pedestrian paths to innovative artists who transform the entire resort town into a living work of art during Digital Graffiti, May 13-15, 2016. The juried festival explores ways in which art, design and technology interact with the distinctive architecture of Alys Beach to create new forms of expression.
In its ninth year, Digital Graffiti transforms Alys Beach’s stark white walls into a canvas of light. The three-day festival includes a Curator’s Tour of select digital art, DG Festival, and Sunday Brunch. For more information on the festival and tickets, please visit digitalgraffiti.com.
