The Northwest Florida Daily News on Thursday, August 13, 2009 selected as their Section B Headline Story "US Airways bypasses Okaloosa" while the PC News Herald Wednesday, August 12, 2009 had a front page, top of the fold story of "Airport officials hopeful for low-cost carrier." South Walton and Walton County is situated between these two airports.

Perhaps the Walton Sun, in addition to focusing on South Walton and Walton County News, should add more Panama City, Bay County news to go with the Okaloosa news it is already filtering in. Currently, our news is quite fragmented and you don't get regional coverage reading just one daily news paper. There is a little cross over, but on some important issues such as airport development, you could miss the overall bigger picture if you don't read both dailies.
