We are new residents of south walton and we have an 11 year old son. Does anyone have recommendations for activities or places where he can meet other children his age that are full time residents?

I think joining a sports team like football, soccer or lacrosse would be a great way to meet people, or perhaps robotics or drama is more his speed. LOTS going on at Emerald Coast Theater Company, Seaside REP Theatre - magic workshops and improv acting camps, Cultural Arts Alliance art camps, Biophilia Camps and much more! We post them as they are announced. Any and all of these camps and events are outstanding for local kids.

Things to explore: Coastal Branch Library, Alaqua Animal Refuge, EO Wilson Biophilia Center.

Swim lessons: Frank Brown Park (Panama City Beach) has excellent summer programs for all ages and skill levels.

Arnett's Gulfside Farm & Stables: check out the horses and take a trail ride!

Gulf World: see the dolphin and sea lion shows in PCB.

Explore our state parks - all of them! Such beautiful places for families to spend time hiking, biking and even canoeing/kayaking. Free admission to Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park this summer (go to the beach at these incredible parks).

Morrison Springs, Econfina Springs (out of town but fun kayaking).
