For its 31st anniversary, the Destin Seafood Festival is returning its waterfront location on the Destin harbor! On Oct. 2-4, 2009, more than 36,000 visitors and locals will pack HarborWalk Village alongside Destin's docks to enjoy fresh local seafood, live entertainment, arts and crafts booths, children’s activities, and more.The Destin Seafood Festival is the traditional kick off of the Destin Fishing Rodeo, and there is no better way to mark its 31st year than to celebrate right beside Destin's docks, which are home to the largest charter fishing fleet in the state of Florida.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will headline Saturday's line up. Jett is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with eight platinum and gold albums. She also has nine Top 40 singles, including “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover.” In addition to touring, Jett currently hosts a weekly radio program on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Faction.
