
The 24th Annual Gumbo Festival takes place President’s Day weekend February 15 & 16, 2013 (12-4pm) at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Stroll the Village streets and sample gumbo from the area’s best restaurants and chefs. This weekend of food, fun, and live entertainment is not to be missed! Saturday tickets to the main event are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event.

Kick off Sandestin Gumbo Festival with live music in the events plaza and special dinners at Baytowne restaurants. Details coming soon!
The Main Event
Saturday, February 16, 12-4pm
Sample a variety of gumbo and vote your favorite as the “People’s Choice” winner! Dark or light roux? Chicken, sausage or seafood? Celebrity judges will name the “Area’s Best,” and award the most creative set-up as “Best Display.” Gulf Coast restaurants will be featured along with live music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe and children’s activities.
Tickets are currently available online for $20 and will be $25 at Ticket Sales the day of the event. Beginning January 14, tickets will be available at Graffiti & the Funky Blues Shack (restaurant opens at 5pm) and Aloha Surf Company (Retail Hours: 10-6pm). Both stores are located at The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Dikki Du and the Zydeco Crew kept gumbo lovers hoppin' during the 23rd Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival. The Mardi Gras atmosphere was filled with the aroma from a variety of gumbo pots.
Sandestin has hosted the festival for more than two decades. Twenty one local restaurants and gumbo specialists entered, and prizes were awarded in several categories. Ticket holders gobbled gumbo and cast their own votes. The People's Choice Award Winner was Pompano Joe's, a popular gulf front restaurant and bar right on the gulf in Miramar Beach.
