The 23rd Annual Sandestin Gumbo Cook-off is back at The Village of Baytowne Wharf this year. Guests can sample gumbo and vote for their favorite as People's Choice. Celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the "Area's Best" awards for gumbo. The award for Best Display, which goes to the business or restaurant with the most innovative booth, will also be announced. Kick off The Sandestin Gumbo Festival Weekend at the Village of Baytowne Wharf with live music in the Events Plaza by Dread Clampitt from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and a Mardi Gras Seafood Boil at Hammerhead’s Bar & Grille from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The Mardi Gras Seafood Boil at Hammerhead’s Bar & Grille will feature shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and a 16 oz hurricane. Purchase tickets to this event by clicking here or make reservations by calling 850.351.1997. $25 in advance/$30 day of.

THE MAIN EVENT
Saturday, February 18th starting at 12 p.m.
This winter festival favorite is back for the 23rd Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival. Sample a variety of gumbo and vote your favorite as the “People’s Choice” winner! Dark or light roux? Chicken, sausage or seafood? Celebrity judges will name the “Area’s Best,” and award the most creative set-up as “Best Display.”

Gulf Coasts restaurants will be featured along with live music from Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe and children’s activities.

After the festival, enjoy live music by Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band at Funky Blues Shack. Show starts at 9:30 p.m. Discount tickets can be purchased in combination with gumbo tickets.
