Is it harassment when the FL Dept of Motor Vehicles asks to see my certified copy of my birth certificate before issuing a driver's license? I don't think so. Have you read the Constitution and requirements to be President?

So are you stating that every time some nut job comes up with a conspiracy theory with no bases in truth it is going to be this or any future presidents fault if he or she ignores it? Should the preceding president have dropped everything just to prove to some idiots he did not orchestrate 911, or send teams of researchers to produce his missing military records?

If it becomes a national issue and he wants to end it, he/she will have to produce the records. Bush did. IMHO this was a non-issue that was settled during the primaries when Clinton raised the question. Certainly, 3 years into the administration is a little late to start the process and it is clear that Trump was using this for political gain. It is also clear that Obama released the document to cut him off at the knees. Now that the political games are over, lets move on the the important issues.

Right here!

Some people may be questioning the authenticity of certain official documents in this case, but at least they aren't creating fake documents and presenting them as authentic on the CBS Nightly News. ;-)

Which is why Obama produced his birth certificate YEARS ago.

It was legal, examined by millions, and independently verified by multiple sources.

But apparently that wasn't sufficient for the birther idiots.

Why do we have to keep repeating that to the very same SoWallers over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Perfect question/analogy for opening people's eyes-

It IS NOT harrassment if the DMV requires everyone to provide documentation before issuing drivers' licenses.

It IS harrassment if the DMV insists that only the black guy's legal/valid documentation isn't good enough to satisfy the requirements and questions only his legitimacy and eligibility for the DL or if the cops who pull him over insist his DL is a fake when everyone else's is assumed the real thing.

Not choosing sides, but I feel compelled to point out the obvious.

First off...For the love of God, people. Please learn the definition of "racisist".

Geo...your argument is flawed because there are both black and white drivers. Curretly, there is not a white President so, of course, they are only asking the black guy.
Of course, that's a broad generalization, but you can bet that if a republican was in office and if his childhood background was as convoluted as Obama's there would still be birthers, but they would be on the other side of the fence.

This birther crap is the stupidest thing I have followed in a long time, and that goes for both sides of the argument...

Nah, the argument is fine as it is. No one I know who continues to question the black president's birth (despite irrefutable proof) has ever ever ever questioned any other president's legitimacy. My point is strong and you know it.

I wouldn't make that bet. Sure, folks might bring it up to be funny or facetious (to make reference to the Obama birthers) but other than that - NO...

BTW- There was one other presidential candidate with a convoluted birth record but no one made anything of it after he provided a birth certificate. Hint: he is white and a republican and he helped to spread the fear and mistrust of "that one".

This birther crap is the stupidest thing I have followed in a long time, and that goes for both sides of the argument...

No- just the side of the argument where the racists live.

I'll say this once and for all. One of the proper definitions of racism is from Random House "hatred or intorlerance of another race or races". The word has been and will continue to be used in this manner. Your scolding people for this commonly accepted usage is nothing more than a diversionary tactic typical of somebody with a weak argument.
