Visit South Walton
Visit South Walton, Walton County’s Tourist Development Council (TDC) manages and maintains beaches as a primary attraction and serves as the Destination Marketing Organization responsible for protecting and promoting tourism and the high-quality of life enjoyed in Walton County. Funded by bed taxes collected from short-term vacation rentals, The TDC is part of Walton County government, and is governed by the Walton County Board of County Commissioners.
In addition to funding the South Walton Fire District's beach safety lifeguards, the TDC shares beach safety information in a variety of ways, including beach safety flags at beach access points, printed materials, beach condition text messages and in-person interactions with beachgoers through their Beach Ambassador and Volunteer Beach Ambassador programs.
Located at the intersection of US. Highway 331 & 98 south of the 331 Bridge, the Visit South Walton building also houses the Visitor Center - home to South Walton Information Specialists. The Information Specialists at South Walton’s Visitor Center are terrific resources for all things South Walton.
